INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY THAT BUILDS UP YOUR CAREER
Our internship opportunities provide a hands-on experience in non-profit management and strategy. Interns work closely with members of our executive team and have the opportunity to gain practical skills in program planning, monitoring and evaluation, project implementation, public relations, training facilitation, communications, grants writing, fundraising, community service activities, and research. Given our total volunteer philosophy, we give interns a unique opportunity to lead a project and to come up with creative solutions to help us achieve our mission.
The internship has a minimum duration of four weeks with an expected contribution of at least 10 hours per week. We provide two options of internships: remote and in-person with flexible hours to accommodate your school/work schedule. You will be expected to maintain regular contact with your preceptor via email, telephone, and our weekly conference calls in which interns present their progress and findings for team review if you are on a remote internship option. If working in person, we help you in all the processes and make sure that you are safe and protected. The internship is UNPAID, volunteer-based position designed to increase the impact of LifeCare Foundation, as well as provide you with an in-depth experience in the strategic thinking and responsibilities involved. There is no minimum age requirement. A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn are a must.
Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis, and should be sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org Once your application has been received, our Head of Programs will contact you for a short interview to discuss your interests, project preferences and logistics. If your application is successful, a preceptor will be assigned to you with whom you’ll work closely. We’ll provide an orientation and a full on boarding program to help you get started.
